The Domino Effect

It left the pizza radar and now it's back and Domino's pizza just got stronger, crispier and yummier!

Being bombarded with lamp post banners with their Buy 1 Free 1 promo before, we just had to give in and try it out. With no expectations, our first bite gave our taste buds a savory surprise as flavors of meat, veggies and mozzarella cheese melted in our mouths. The ultra crispy thin crust was also heavenly, I swear I grunted "I JUST CAN'T STOP!" (with gigil + kagat labi) several times. And seriously, sharing two 10" pizza with only one person isn't a joke, you'll feel bloated afterwards but it's carbs worth gaining pounds for.

Craving hit us this evening so, we went straight to the nearest Domino's branch and when we got to Domino's, we found out they now have a D-card for only P250, which entitles you Buy1 Free1 pizza for 365days plus earn reward points too! How cool is that? So, of course being the pizza monsters that we are, we purchased one.

Enjoy the Domino effect with Extravaganza and Meatzza 10" Thin Crust Pizzas!

One Destination. Jamie + Jill's Boracay Wedding

This actually happened before Clueless Mrs. ever existed but I thought this is something worth sharing.

2.12.12 One Destination. This is the, may I say, title(?) of dear friends, Jamie + Jill's Boracay wedding.

True to every cell of the couple's body, both being in the Advertising industry, the whole wedding was like a TV production. I bet Jill- a creative genius and illustrator plus many more /// - even illustrated a whole storyboard to bring their love story to life that guests can relate more to. I also bet that Jamie, being a frustrated actress, brainstormed for hours or probably days to come up with explosive grand entrances and production numbers. See some photos and videos below.

The last time I was in Boracay was in May 2010 with the same set of friends, my Sisterbucks- Jamie (the Bride), Joanne and Dos.

Since I was also busy with my wedding preps just a month prior to Jamie's wedding, I wasn't able to plan our quick Boracay trip for her wedding so we ended up making a last-minute booking at Microtel Boracay through Agoda.com, which I thought would be very near the venue, Estacio Uno. *Tip: Don't EVER trust the maps in Agoda.com! So not reliable! Always double check with Google.maps.

The hotel is actually pretty decent but don't be deceived by "conveniently located in Station 1" because it is NOT! They do provide free shuttle to and from D' Mall but if you want "convenience" true to every letter of the word, I suggest booking in other places instead within Station 2 which is the very center of Boracay party hub. Oh well, here are the photos...

Microtel Boracay is located in Station 1 (Extension) after crossing this Grotto
which is 15-30 minutes walk from Station 2 or D'Mall

Behind me is where the real Station 1 is.

To relieve our feet for a minute, photo-opps nalang muna!

My hubby always criticize my jump shots.
I know I don't jump that high. *sigh*

My jump shot and his interpretation of my jump shot.

His jump shot and my interpretation of his jump shot. Not bad right?

Of course, a trip to Boracay wouldn't be complete
without some food trippin'.

Minutes before the wedding. Me, wearing my 7-in-1 dress.
A so-worth-it investment. About P1,800 from the Ramp.

Do you see the lovely Bride's GRAND ENTRANCE? @Jamie, IKAW NA!

To the couple, congratulations and welcome to the blissful life of being married.

A piece of Heaven on Earth- Majayjay Bed & Breakfast

What's nice about being married is that you can go on an impromptu road trip without asking for parents' permission anymore! haha...

Last April 30, me and my hubby urged a quick out-of-town trip to take advantage of the labor day holiday. So, I asked my tita- Encar Ordonez, former host of "Eh Kasi Bata" and "Kwarta O Kahon", Actress and wife of the legendary Advertising man, Minyong Ordonez (Hindi halatang proud ako noh?)- if we can visit a piece of their heaven, Majayjay Bed & Breakfast.

It's been ages since I last visited the place, 1996 to be exact, but I remember the place to be immaculate so I was really excited to go back for a quick vacay.

It was a 3-4 hour long drive and thank God for unlimited data and Google maps! Or else, the 3-4 hour trip might have probably become 6 hours looong. Just exaggerating, but you get the point..

When we finally got to the place, the whole trip was so worth it and Majayjay Bed & Breakfast absolutely did not disappoint.

Every breath was a breeze of fresh air.
The place was quiet, perfect for soul searching.
The guest house was clean and very cozy.
And the food? yuuuuummmy... (Just between you and me, I think I gained 2 lbs. overnight *hush*).
Just remembering the spread of food served to us makes my taste buds tingle.
Nuff said, see for yourselves.

 Breathtaking view of Mt. Banahaw

The Main House where we stayed at.
There's no airconditioning but it does get cool at night.

Quirky interior decos. I also love the intricate hand wall paintings.

Eco-friendly ceiling. As a matter of fact, the place was built with very environment friendly
materials like old narras and other kinds of recycled wood.

Look what greeted us when we got to Majayjay B&B?

And if you can make of where we are at, it's a semi-hanging bahay kubo cottage overlooking a stream.
The bahay kubo is actually perfect for a big family or barkada
because it can accommodate 10-15 persons.

Forgive the silly pose.
After freshening up and a quick nap, we headed to Dalitiwan Resort, just 10-15 minutes drive from Majayjay B&B. This is my second time batis-swimming but it was my hubby's first time so I was pretty excited for him. Too bad our camera isn't waterproof.

Another savory meal c/o Majayjay B&B capped by a tummy-relaxing peppermint tea.

But wait, there's more! Just about 30 minutes after, we had hotdog roasting with marshmallows! Thanks to my tita Encar for the compliments.
This truly made our stay sweeter.
We also met Shamcey, the pony! #LOL

As if we didn't have enough food to eat for dinner the previous night,
this feast was served to us for breakfast!
Generous serving of hot pandesal, kesong puti, eggs, fried rice, daing na bangus, ensalada, Lucban longganisa.

To conclude our Majayjay adventure, we went for a cold dip in Taytay Falls,
just 15- 20 minutes drive from Majayjay B&B. The water is verrrrrry cold and deep.
Kinda scary but that makes it more thrilling (Aiza the explorer cap on*).
*I used to be such a coward.

Overall, it was an amazing experience. Can't wait to go back.

Thanks to my hubby for taking most of the pictures using Nikon D3100.
