The Mane Effect

Not sO fun fact... Did you know that my last haircut was last March 7, 2012? Oh yes, it has exactly been 8 months and it took that loooong for me to feel and look like "the Thing" (OR pwede rin na Sadako). I can still remember that day clearly because it was also my birthday and I love pampering myself during my special day.

Though I love curling my long locks, specially on special occasions or events, the scariness of it all made me decide that it's time for another visit to my hair haven, Jessica Lace. Here's my Before and After look.

The last time I had my hair dyed was for my wedding 
last January. 
I admit, and I'm not so proud of it sometimes, 
I am such a cheapskate.

Let's take a moment of silence... *sniff sniff*

1 & 1/2 hour after, my hair is Ash Brown again.

After dyeing my hair, they treated it with Primer to add a protective layer to my locks. They say it also removes built up residues from my hair, which made me feel lighter after. I love the cooling effect and the light grape fruit scent too. I swear, I can still smell the grape scent on my hair until now. Parang ang sarap kainin...

I really have no patience waiting for my hair to be perfect. Here's me 2 & 1/2 hours after,  trying to kill boredom. Thank God Justin Bieber kept me company  #HBOpresentsNeverSayNever.

After 15min Shampoo, 30min Haircut, 45min Hair dye, 30min Primer, 30min Blow dry, and another 30min Finishing touches on Haircut, drum roll please... 

Haircut? or Agecut? Don't I look 10 years younger?

Busy Bee

Am I transforming back into a workaholic maniac with no time for anything else?

I seriously have mix emotions on my lack of blog posts lately. Slightly embarrassed for my absence with a sense of fulfillment for having accomplished so much this week at work. 

I've started inching myself "back to reality" (a very popular #hashtag last Monday) after the holidays last Saturday to prepare myself for a very hectic week - AND WHAT A VERY HECTIC WEEK IT WAS!

If you just tuned in to my blog, I am proudly involved in the steamy campaign of Axe Philippines' Axe Anarchy Island Sexy Saves Boracay. 

We are done with the Axe Anarchy Island Car Wash. And, if you're a fool who missed it, here's the sexy explosion you missed last 10.27.2012...

If you're now thinking where were you that day, well, sulk in misery. *joke* Do not worry because we are not done yet. What will top this, you say? Well, more girls in bikinis I guess? *big grin*

I know I am such a tease but you only need to wait for few more days to hear the news about it so hold your horse! (talagang isa lang! Using my hubby's favorite line...) 

What's more, Axe Philippines will be sending two brand ambassadors to a remote island in Belize in the Carribean to represent the Philippines in an international Axe Party that will happen there in December where the ambassadors will be tasked to promote Boracay and the Philippines, showing the world how we do it here in the Philippines.

That's why we are calling the public to help us choose which two of the four candidates Axe should send to the Carribean. Will it be Tony Toni or will it be Gino Quillamor? For the girls, will it be the sultry Abby Poblador or the sweet and feisty Karen Bordador?

The Devil wears Spikes!

You already know that I spent the Halloween with my husband in Boracay, so here's to share what I wore for the Halloween. 

I actually had something sluttier to wear in mind (you know what they say - Halloween is the time of the year when girls can be slutty without being judged) but because I'm already married, I had to adhere to my husband's (sometimes overly) conservative standards... and I love him for that. *Take note of the bold emphasis* 

We were eyeing to attend the grand Halloween party at Epic because we heard they give the best Halloween party in Boracay, and since their theme for this year is "Saints and Sinners" well, you can guess... I love black so, I had to be a sinner while my husband plays the saint. He is such a kill joy in picture taking so just imagine him in all white. Quite a contrast, don't you think?

Don't you just love what I've done with my eyes? I have to admit it's not perfect but would you believe me if I tell you that this make up masterpiece started with putting uneven eyeliner? *haha* no kiddin'... It's started with an *ooopsss* then followed by (light bulb) *ahaaa* I am just so proud. It just made my look more devilish, agree?

I never had the intention of spending money for my Halloween costume. Good thing I had all these in my closet, which I''ve originally styled for a Halloween- themed shoot I was supposed to model for.

Boracay via Instagram

I have not been really active on Instagram but when I see travel photos taken by other bloggers via this cool app, I get super jealous that I made it a personal mission to do one when the next travel opportunity arises. 

AND...Who would have thought that we get to spend our first halloween (as a married couple) in the best party paradise in the country, Boracay?!?! Sweet, right??? 

We actually booked our tickets way in advance when Airphilexpress had a seat sale in May and I was sooo excited to be so lucky to have booked - our cheapest air tickets to Boracay yet - at only P1,440 each, and that's inclusive of travel Insurance! I haven't been really lucky in those P0 fare sales so this is a big accomplishment for a budget traveler like me... So, don't judge!
