Axe Apollo Space Academy searches for the First Filipino Astronaut

So, what kept me veeeeeery busy these past few days with not even a second to spare for my blog? Well, just the awesomest AXE campaign I've launched - EVER!

I am still smiling up to my ears because of the crazy and super successful day we had yesterday for the launch of the AXE Apollo Space Academy where we will be sending the First Filipino into Space. Yes, you read that right! AXE - the no.1 fragrance brand on Earth- introduced an experience that's literally OUT OF THIS WORLD. As in out of this world din ang experience ko in managing this project sa sobrang intense.

To celebrate the global launch of a new fragrance called AXE Apollo, AXE, together with its space travel agency called Space Expedition Corporation (SXC) And XCOR Aerospace,  will be launching people to space. And we're not just talking about the kind of 'space' boys ask their girlfriends for, but actual space - the kind outside the planet.

Here's the official announcement from Buzz Aldrin, himself.

What's so exciting about this project we call the Axe Apollo Space Academy (AASA) is that AXE could be sending anyone. That's right. AXE is sending untrained civilians with absolutely no business floating around in zero gravity into space. The plan is to send one person from every AXE country on Earth to space, and AXE Philippines has secured one slot and will soon make history by funding the first Filipino expedition to space. And anyone could be the First Pinoy Astronaut.

Here are snapshots and some behind the scene photos of what happened yesterday.

On a sad note, with all the successful campaigns I've managed for AXE, it saddens me to say that this is actually the last campaign I'll launch for AXE. It has been lengend- *wait for it* -ary, LEGENDARY experience, and I don't think anything can top the coolness of these projects I handled for AXE. To team Apollo, my clients, and to whoever the First Filipino Astronaut will be, good luck and God speed!

In Pursuit of Happyness this 2013

I've been reading a lot of 2012 thank you-s and goodbyes and 2013 greetings from a lot of bloggers that I follow over the holidays and I've been desperately wanting to do one too. And believe me, I have tried...

Time and time again, I find myself open a blank page attempting a new post to greet the New Year but NOTHING is just coming out. Few minutes of staring at a completely blank page then stirs me into an overwhelming anxiety attack with a mix of frustration and  disappointment being fought by a little spark of hope and optimism I have deep inside, that begged the questions -  Was my 2012 legendary? Have I done enough to make myself believe that 2012 was a success? Have I achieved my goals? - and just when I'm about to get myself to type a single word, I end up shutting my laptop off and save my thoughts and my attempted blog post for another day, with the hopes of having a clearer head.

With my obvious week of silence, it took me some time to realize and acknowledge the reason behind this anxiety.

To be honest, I do not want 2012 to end just yet because there are still a lot of things I want to do (to fix) and it took some courage for me to finally admit to myself that I am really just down cold scared to face 2013.

I have been known to be a person who's always in control of my life and always has a 3-year plan. And I hate to admit that 2012 was a blur because I really didn't know how to find myself and answer my own question "What's next?" While great opportunities found its way into my path with my cluelessness and this big hanging "?" (question mark) over my head, I'm am still soooo afraid to enter yet another year with having no clearer sense of direction.

Segue to my last blog post with a renewed sense of hope, determination and much optimism, I got myself looking back at a brighter 2012 series of events, where I...
January  - Married the love of my life, got myself my very first iPhone, went to Misibis Bay for the Honeymoon and moved in to our new condo.
February - Traveled to Boracay for my friend's wedding
March - Modeled for BPI and got myself a billboard!
April - Resigned from work, Started the Clueless Mrs. and Officially registered my weddings & events coordination biz.
May - Traveled to Majayjay B&B for a quick labor day retreat and went for a swim at Taytay Falls, Tandemed with Georgina Wilson for a Garnier ad, Joined Open Philippines, met BNO and reunited with Ramon Bautista after 5 years.
June - Achieved a successful Axe Anarchy Raid Event and met Petra Mahalimuyak and  Traveled to Singapore.
July - Learned how to play Football.
August - Publicly launched my blog - the Clueless Mrs. - and received an overwhelming response.
September - Launched Axe Anarchy Island Sexy Saves Boracay Campaign.
October - Went to the TikTik Movie Premiere and met Dingdong Dantes, Attended the Philippine Fashion Week for the very first time, Went back to Boracay and jumped off a cliff and survived!
November - Achieved a successul Axe Anarchy Island Bikini Auction Party to save Boracay and Started to get invited to events as a blogger.
December - Got a makeover,  Now acknowledged as an official blogger, and Realized my long-shot true destiny and first love and passion - FASHION.

Christopher Gardner: Hey. Don't ever let somebody tell you... You can't do something. Not even me. All right?
Christopher: All right.
Christopher Gardner: You got a dream... You gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Period.

Looking back now, my 2012 wasn't so bad... (right?) My traditional, old-school dad would probably still not approve of the plans I have to follow my dreams and I might second-guess myself from time to time again BUT as I promised myself before and I promise myself now, "I WILL NEVER STOP TRYING." And this is what I will carry this 2013.

So, to my readers and to the rest of the world, Happy New Year and may you all have a fruitful and inspiring 2013!

Africa

Three days ago, I was severely suffering a fashion dilemma on what to where to my last event for the Sexy Saves Boracay camapaign- the Axe Anarchy Island Bikini Auction Party last November 27, oooooh what a craaaazy night it was... but I'll get to that later. *wink*

I was on the verge of giving up and make it one of my "it's just one night" moments to jump into just anything I have in my worn-out closet. If only I'm still living with my family, I would have just easily stolen a dress from my lil sister's closet (old or new), which she hate sometimes because she's so petite that I SOMETIMES (emphasis on the sometimes) return her clothes in a stretched figure. hahaha...

Anyway, over a quick lunch, I realized... If all else fails, Makati office tiangges will always save the day! Lucky for me it's Christmas season so bazaars are just everywhere in Makati.

I spotted this peplum aztec printed dress at a small nook of a bazaar in PBCom Tower and since the dress code was supposed to be a lil beach-y (think prints, earth tones & flowy chiffon), and you know I love earth colors, I thought it's just perfect. With my animal printed strappy wedge to match, I assembled an African-inspired ensemble that's club-appropriate. Now, apologies for the smoky and kinda blurry photos. These are shots after the party so my husband and I are both tired and smoky-eyed already, and probably my camera too.

I just love how my accessories matched. Specially this white and gold elephant bangle I borrowed from my sister. It just made my whole outfit more in sync. Don't you think?

Oh yes, indeed... As Axe Philippines' final leg of the campaign- Axe Anarchy Island Sexy Saves Boracay- we are auctioning off bikinis to raise funds for a clean up mission in Boracay, which will be organized by Hands On Manila this summer of 2013.

This heart-pumping, balahibo-rising event is already happening tonight, Novemeber 27, at Republiq Club, Resorts World Manila, and I am here to cover and oversee the event every minute till the clock strikes midnight.

The Accidental Stylist

bbbbbrriiiirrpppphhhhhpppbbbbbrrrrrrrrriiiiiippppp..... *rewind*

Let's backtrack a bit on some of the things I've missed to blog about like, my first-ever styling job? *ehem ehem*

Although it was accidental, I'm proud to say that I have done it. Thanks to the successful collaboration with Issa of Netbooster. *woot woot*

Here are the girls we styled together for the Axe Anarchy Island "Sexy Saves Boracay" videos.
Abby "the Cheerleader"
This girl is a PRO! I love her and I envy her body.
And those legs?! my... lesbian me is drooling.

Clothes & Shoes: Models' own.
Like I've said, she's a pro.
Joannah "the Dominatrix"
This girl is like a dinamite. She may be a lil quiet at first
but she can be extremely fierce.

Corset Top: [X] Shop, Cluless Mrs.'
(Sale @ P199, I bought 10 years ago)
Leather Minis: Issa's
Nude Pumps: Model's own
Erika "the Virgin"
Literally, this is her first time in modeling.
Contrary to her meek & shy character, she is  a very
confident girl. She will go a long way in this industry.

Floral Jumpsuit: Issa's
Nude Pumps: Model's own
Ahleks "the Girly Girl"
Swak na Swak to her character, any room lights up when
she's around because of her fun & charming personality.
I love working with her.

Dress: Model's own
Melissa Shoes: Model's own
Honey "the Clueless"
A true comedy, she's very fun to work with
and she really *weeerks* it. SFX: bang bang bang
(just imagine me snapping my fingers from side to side)

Top: Issa's
Minis: Model's own
Shoes: Model's own
Elizabeth "the Bi-curious"
She has one of the most amazing bodies I have ever seen.
#fierce

White tank top: Model's own
Blue leatherette vest: Red Head, Clueless Mrs.' (Sale @ P100)
Denim Shorts: Model's own
Sandals: Model's own
Jem "the Wild Child"
I admire this girl's fashion sense. Styling her was no
brainer because she brought exactly the clothes & shoes
 we envisioned her in.

All: Model's own
What do you think? Can you see a future for me in Fashion Styling?

Now, here are the videos the girls made.
Caution: Not good for people with a weak heart. Finish everything till the very end. Teasingly funny.

Busy Bee

Am I transforming back into a workaholic maniac with no time for anything else?

I seriously have mix emotions on my lack of blog posts lately. Slightly embarrassed for my absence with a sense of fulfillment for having accomplished so much this week at work.

I've started inching myself "back to reality" (a very popular #hashtag last Monday) after the holidays last Saturday to prepare myself for a very hectic week - AND WHAT A VERY HECTIC WEEK IT WAS!

If you just tuned in to my blog, I am proudly involved in the steamy campaign of Axe Philippines' Axe Anarchy Island Sexy Saves Boracay.

We are done with the Axe Anarchy Island Car Wash. And, if you're a fool who missed it, here's the sexy explosion you missed last 10.27.2012...

If you're now thinking where were you that day, well, sulk in misery. *joke* Do not worry because we are not done yet. What will top this, you say? Well, more girls in bikinis I guess? *big grin*

I know I am such a tease but you only need to wait for few more days to hear the news about it so hold your horse! (talagang isa lang! Using my hubby's favorite line...)

What's more, Axe Philippines will be sending two brand ambassadors to a remote island in Belize in the Carribean to represent the Philippines in an international Axe Party that will happen there in December where the ambassadors will be tasked to promote Boracay and the Philippines, showing the world how we do it here in the Philippines.

That's why we are calling the public to help us choose which two of the four candidates Axe should send to the Carribean. Will it be Tony Toni or will it be Gino Quillamor? For the girls, will it be the sultry Abby Poblador or the sweet and feisty Karen Bordador?

Cast your votes HERE now!

You can vote multiple times in a week and top voter gets to win a trip to Boracay for 2 and join us in the beach clean up mission together with the sexy Axe babes in Boracay this Summer 2013. Just ain't good enough? 2nd placer will also win a sleek HTC mobile smartphone. Sweet, right?

If you're thinking I just posted this blog entry to justify my absence... you are slightly correct. *haha

So much more to do in a couple of weeks. I promise to update you with what's happening soon. *stuttering now* *panic* *wooozaahhh* *aja*

Head on to the Sexiest Car Wash ever!

10 days to go till Sexy... Saves Boracay with its first fundraising event: Axe Anarchy Island Car Wash! Admit it, isn't this the sexiest car wash you've ever seen to hit Manila?

Because we are down to 10 days, I will give you 10 reasons why you should go to www.sexysavesboracay.com now to reserve your slot for a hot & steamy car wash with the Axe girls.
1. Hot Girls
2. Hot Girls
3. Hot Girls
4. Hot Girls
5. Hot Girls
6. Hot Girls
7. Hot Girls
8. Hot Girls
9. Hot Girls
10. Save Boracay!

This might be a turn on more for the guys than the girls but let's be honest, girls appreciate other girls too and we also get mesmerized by other girl's beauty and sultry sex appeal, either because of envy or mere appreciation of God's (sometimes unfair) creation. It's probably the lesbian inside me talking but don't you girls salivate over the likes of Megan Fox in Transformers or even Jennifer Aniston in Horrible Bosses? Come on, they're freakin' hot!

Back to Sexy Saves Boracay though, seriously, it's not just a car wash, remember it's a fundraising event and all proceeds from the event will be matched by Axe Philippines and will be used to fund a coastal clean up mission in Boracay to be organized by Hands On Manila

The Axe Anarchy Island Car Wash is now on October 27, 2012 at ASEANA City, Macapagal Blvd. Trust me, this is another must not miss event from Axe. More than the girls, Chicosci and Sponge Cola will be performing and there will be games & surprises for everyone. Did I mention there will be hot girls?

Did I get you excited? Well, here are teasers on what you can expect at the Axe Anarchy Island Car Wash. See you there!

Sexy is out to Save Boracay!

Perhaps, you got bitin with my last post about Axe's new campaign.

Well, the teasing is over coz here it is.

Last 09.26.2012 at the Skye Lounge, I got invited *just wishful thinking* fine... we organized an exclusive Press Launch to kickstart the campaign.

@ Skye Lounge, W Hotel, BHS
Axe Girls
The Media Kit.
I managed to sneak out one coz I'm also a "blogger" haha.

Here I am at the Press Launch Event.
I'm wearing a blue maxi dress to comply with the
fun, casual, beach-y theme of the event.
The colors of my dress looks like the colors of the ocean
and you can't see it but I'm wearing a huge fish cocktail ring.

Maxi Dress: SM Sucat Clearance on 3
(Sale @ P425, previously P1,995)

Can you seriously believe that I'm actually super sick at this time and that I look like this just 2 hours before the event? Well, being the project-lead, I had no choice but to transform into a social butterfly for the event.
Eskimo lang naman ang peg coz
it's really cold in the office.
Truth be told, we actually have
a room called "Igloo"
it is that *brrrr* cold.
I'm wearing no make up also.
Okay, back to ground breaking news: Axe is out to Save Boracay! No kiddin...

We call the campaign "Axe Anarchy Island: Sexy Saves Boracay" and you can check it out at www.sexysavesboracay.com or just log into the Axe Philippines Facebook fanpage

The project aims to rally support for the preservation and promotion of the island of Boracay.  “It’s one of the most beautiful places in the World.  We want to get more young people to care about Boracay by making this a cool and sexy cause to support,” says Axe Brand Manager Gem Laforteza.

Gem Laforteza, Axe Brand Manager.

Hope he won't kill me for posting this stolen shot.
*cross-fingers*
Because I don't want to leave anything out about this campaign, here's the rest of the press article:

Everyone has a sexy “what happens in Boracay stays in Boracay” story to tell.  We all love Boracay and we want to keep it the way it is with its pristine white beaches, clear waters, and of course the beautiful people.  Now, Axe Philippines is bringing something very unusual but potentially very powerful as well to the cause: Axe Girls in bikinis.

“Boracay is all about being young and having fun.  And that’s exactly what the Axe brand is: young, fun, and sexy.  That’s why we love this cause,” says the Axe team.  Well, the Axe Girls will definitely be a big help in getting the support of guys everywhere.

But Axe Girls in bikinis isn’t the most exciting news about the new Axe campaign.  Axe Philippines will also be sending two brand ambassadors on a mission to promote Boracay and the rest of the country in an upcoming assembly of Axe ambassadors in the Carribean.

To celebrate the successful global launch of its newest fragrance, Axe Anarchy, Axe will be throwing a 3-day party in a private island in Palencia, Belize in the Carribean Sea.  Brand ambassadors will be flown in from all participating Axe countries to party on a beautiful patch of sand.  Seeing this as an opportunity to promote Boracay, Axe Philippines will be sending one guy and one girl to represent the Philippines at the party.

On top of the “diplomatic mission” to the Carribean, Axe Philippines will also be coming up with fundraisers to pool support for a clean-up mission in Boracay.  Their first event is a sexy car wash they’re calling “Axe Anarchy Bikini Car Wash”, which will be happening on October 20, 2012 at the NBC Tent Grounds at the Fort.  The Axe Girls will be washing cars in exchange for 500-peso donations to the cause.  And all proceeds from the event will be matched by Axe Philippines and used to fund a clean-up mission.

“Axe Philippines will be donating one peso for every one peso raised during event,” says Gem.  “But more than the money, this is about getting people to shout out that they support the cause and that they want to keep partying in Boracay.”

To join the Bikini Car Wash, or to learn more about the project, you can check out www.sexysavesboracay.com or the Axe Facebook fanpage.

Stay tuned for more updates about the campaign. Trust me, I'll be the first to know what's going to happen next.
