Forward march to Fashion Week

I've desired year after year to attend the famed Philippine Fashion Week but for some reason, I was never been fortunate enough to get to any of the shows, EVER!!!!!! (Forgive the heavy exclamation marks, I'm really that frustrated.)

Well, my absence MUST end now and I cannot afford to miss the biggest fashion event in the Philippines this time. 

I must say, It will not be easy... I'd need to pull strings, even ropes, to be in the crowd of passionate Fashion disciples at this very important week. Here's a glimpse at what you can expect at the event.

From what I've researched, there's going to be a fashion explosion from proud Filipino designers and retail empires. *biting my nails now*

To add to a fashiontastic week, famed international Fashion Designer, Lesley Mobo, will also stage his very first and biggest-ever Fashion Gala on October 29, 2012 at the SM Arena.

You might be more familiar with him for his 2008 underwear capsule collection for Bench, which I think he did very very well. 

This by-invitation show, dubbed "Colours Gala: Lesley Mobo," is presented by Cignal Digital TV Broadcast, and is a project of civic leader and fashion supporter Kaye Tinga, to benefit Save the World and Light Tomorrow Project, to be directed by Ariel Lozada. 

Mobo's collection for the gala is inspired by Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring" - "a metaphor for an antidote to modernism and a collection signaling a return to craftsmanship, tradition and culture," as explained by Lesley Mobo himself. 

On October 30, the day after his gala, Mobo will also hold a much awaited trunk show of his designs. (source) Not sure exactly where and what time though...
